MEMORIAL DAY, 2008

Nancy, Neal, Bill and I went to Restland on Memorial Day to put flowers on Mom and Dad's graves. If you haven't seen Dad's marker yet, it is really cool! It says he was awarded the bronze star. It looks really nice. It was a mistake to wait until Memorial Day to go because Restland was jumping with the military concert and various private and public observations. We had to sneak in and creep around all of the parked cars and miniature flags. We forgot to bring a flag for Dad's headstone, since we thought the cemetery would have marked all of the military stones. I think they only marked the 'fallen soldier' graves. We will know next time what we need to take. Thanks, Dad, for serving. We know this meant a lot to you.
